Choosing the Right Therapist During Times of Stress Can Be Difficult
Let us assist you in finding a therapist who best meets your needs. Factors to Consider include licensure, experience, training, location, hours available, fees. Insurance considerations and other personal preferences. Our goal is to find you a Highly qualified, experienced therapist, who has successfully treated others with Similar problems and best meets your needs and preferences.
When you call us, we will discuss your concerns, location and preferences, Recommended a therapist who is an in-network provider with your insurance company, and have the therapist call you directly to answer your questions and schedule an appointment if you wish.
Finding a Therapist Experienced in Your Area of Concern is Important
Our therapists are caring psychologists, marriage and family counselors, drug and alcohol counselors, clinical social workers, and psychotherapists, who are highly experienced and successful in treating a variety of problems like yours. Many therapists have advanced training and supervision in areas such as relationship issues, family problems, anxiety, depression, childhood problems, substance abuse, and other difficulties. Therapy is provided in a respectful, confidential atmosphere by an independent therapist who is active, goaloriented, and non-judgmental.
Some therapists provide brief, problem-solving therapy, others provide longer-term depth therapy, and some integrate both approaches. Some are trained in hypnotherapy, EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, and/or psychodynamic therapy. Some have extensive experience treating children and adolescents; others specialize in treating adults or in relationship counseling. Our marriage and couples counselors have successfully deal with relationship issues such as diminished affection, jealousy, infidelity, anger and communication difficulties. Our hypnotherapists provide hypnosis for smoking, weight, public speaking anxiety, phobias, pain, and many other concerns.
Fees and Insurance Are Often a Major Consideration
When you call our offices, we will discuss our fees, ask what insurance you have, and try to find you a therapist on your insurance panel, if you request this. Many medical insurance plans cover much of the cost of treatment. While some therapists check your coverage before your appointment, others may ask you to check whether you have met your deductible for the year, what if your copayment (due at the session), whether an authorization or a referral by your physician is needed, and strangely, where the bill for your visit is to be sent as many insurers use subcontractors to deliver mental health services.
Many of our therapists are in-network on insurance panels, including EAP’s, HMO’s, PPO’s, EPO’s, and POSs including Aetna™, Cigna®, Blue Cross Blue Shield®, Health Net®, Magelian®, UMR®, GHI®, Value Behavioral®, United Health Care, Oxford®, Devon®, Beacon Value, Emblem Health, AmeriHealth, QualCare, Medicare, and Beech Street®.
Fees can be adjusted with consideration for your circumstances. Call our offices so we can help match you with a therapist who fits your needs.
Because the number of sessions are often limited with managed-care, and managed-care companies often monitor your therapy, some patients choose to use out-of-network benefits or pay directly for therapy to increase their confidentiality, choose any therapist they want, and increase the flexibility of type of treatment and number of visits available to them. Some plans allow you to choose and out-of-network therapist, who can offer more confidentiality and often longer treatment.
